Every sailor worth his salt had heard the tales—how the Great White reappeared after its ruin fourteen years ago. Those few who lived to tell it at least. It had survived men braver than him and fleets larger than his. But tonight, Bonifacio didn’t need bravery or numbers, he had a plan.

Bonifacio’s first mate, Rodrigo, strode up to him, voice low, “The ships are ready, Captain. All crews are ashore, as ordered.”

Bonifacio nodded. “Good. No use in risking too many of them while we hunt a ghost.”

They didn’t need muscle, just their finest assets and the iron teeth of their cannons. “The Great White won’t fight, Rodrigo,” he said with a grim smile, “but if she wants our gold, we’ll let her chase it right to her grave.”

The five ships set sail in loose formation, scattered in the night like silent shadows. Each vessel carried only the most necessary hands—a helmsman, Bonifacio himself, and the best gunners they could muster. The plan was simple but bold: draw the demon ship close, strike her with everything they had, and drown her in flame until there was nothing left but smoke and ash.

They didn’t have long to wait. As they drifted from the safety of the coast, a chill mist rolled over the water, thickening until the horizon vanished. A breath of wind stirred the fog, and from within its swirling depths, Bonifacio saw it—tattered sails billowing from a ghostly hull that gleamed with an otherworldly light.

“Hold your course,” Bonifacio commanded, voice steady though his heart thundered. “Don’t turn till I give the order.”

The Great White slid toward them, spectral sails casting an eerie glow over the waves. Even without her crew, she seemed to move with an unnatural life, a predator sighting easy prey.

Rodrigo muttered under his breath, eyes wide, “She’s real… by God, she’s real.”

“Steady, Rodrigo. She bleeds like any ship, once you get past the mist and shadows.” Bonifacio gripped the hilt of his cutlass, though he knew steel would do little here. “We’ll make her mortal, then show her no mercy.”

“Aye,” Bonifacio nodded, “Ready?”. The Great White staggered, momentarily exposed as she freed herself from her ghostly sorrow.

“Now!” Bonifacio roared, and the cannons spoke in a single, seemingly endless thundering spit of flames and rage.

Flame and smoke exploded across the water, and Bonifacio watched as the Great White bucked under the assault, her hull struck with bursts of firepots and shot. Her sails, once ghostly and unmarked, were riddled with burning holes, each one casting an infernal glow as the flames took root.

The Great White twisted and surged, trying to flee back into the safety of her ghostly form, but Bonifacio’s fleet pressed her, rolling with each wave and keeping their firepots ready. “Reload and fire, men! Don’t give her a chance to fade!”

The cannons fired again, and a volley of firepots soared through the darkness, striking the demon ship like falling stars. Each one burst into flame as it hit, and seas were blazing against the night.

Bonifacio’s gaze stayed fixed on the spectral ship, now fully aflame, her decks a roiling inferno. The ship seemed to resist, struggling against the flames that consumed her, but there was no escape. Fire coiled around her masts and crept across her hull, licking up her sails in waves of orange and gold. The Great White let out a final, agonized wooden groan as her hull splintered, succumbing to the flames that tore her apart.

The men watched, silent and awestruck, as the cursed ship gave one last shudder, then vanished into the depths, leaving only smoke and the smell of burning wood behind.

Bonifacio released a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding, his voice barely a whisper, “She’s gone, Captain. For good, this time.”

HOW TO PLAY :
This fleet is meant to partake in the "The Great White: 2" fleet challenge event.

1- Since the target will ignore the ships and flee as stated in the lore of the challenge, all the ships leave their non essential crew on the home island but only keep their helmsman and firepot. Then they go fetch all the treasure coins as a packed group and bring them back to the home island. In the event the Great White wants to fight before reaching step 2, abort collecting and lure the ship close to the home island and complete step 2 and 3.

2- Once this is done, Bonifacio converts all of them into cannons.

3- All the ships bring back their respective crew on board and set sail packed together towards the target.

4- Spam it with the canceller to force it to go non-ghostly, either because the canceller cancelled the keyword, or because the target stopped being ghostly to attack.

5- Fire all the guns at the target, best dice for the firepot.

6- Repeat until the ship either burns to death or sinks."}
