Combined with judocious use of events and unique trasure, you should be unstoppable!

The Ships:
El Acorazado's primary role is to tank damage. In addition to her iron hull ability and the standard captain/helmsman/oarsman, she has Diaz to block enemy broadsides attacks/fire shot and Vega to give her extra durability. She also specifically has Rivera for an EA rather than a SAT - more on that in a moment.

El Garante is optimized for boarding. She has an oarsman, Vaccaro for a reroll, Castro for SAT and his loyalists for +1 to boarding, de Alva for a captain and S-board, and the Inquisitor to massacre. Plus, as long as she keeps close to your other gunship and your support ship, she has 1-rank cannons!

El Peso follows El Garante and El Acorazado closely, providing a second canceller (in case your opponent counter-cancels you), buffing El Garante's cannons, and carrying a shipwright who can be swapped with El Acorazado's helmsman if she needs repairs (hence the EA instead of the SAT - you can return a mast to play and still get a move/shoot action in).

La Santa Isabel and the Alquimista both increase the value of the gold they bring home - with La Santa Isabel able to steal gold from your opponent's home island. The San Agustin, however, is able to swap treasures between wild islands, which will be important for your strategy.

Gameplay:
On your first turn, use Hidden Cove to move the Alquimista to a wild island. She has two movement segments, so you can move her away and re-dock (and explore) in the same turn. You are specifically trying to find Wolves and Weapons before your opponent can.

When you find Wolves, use the San Agustin to move it to wild islands you have not yet explored to ensure your opponent can't get there first. When you find weapons, transfer it to El Garante, giving her a +6 bonus to her boarding rolls (+7 if you can spare one of your explorers). Your lowest possible boarding roll would be 5 (masts) +1 (loyalists) +7 (weapons) +1 (d6) = 14!

If you need to initiate a boarding action before this, you can use Cursed Zone to lower your opponent's chances (you could also use it in conjunction with everything else to guarantee a tie or better against even a ten-master!). You have Favor of the Gods in case they try to use mermaids on you, and you have a raft in case one of your ships is lost."}
