He wasted no time in rallying what few pirates he could manage to arm themselves while sobering up, but in the dark (and being heavily intoxicated himself) he failed to realize that he'd directed his ally, Lady Baptiste, to board not the Revenant but another ship, her hull scorched and pitted by fire but somehow still intact. Despite having her doubts as to Hawkins' sanity and the importance of taking this semi-derelict vessel for...whatever reason Hawkins might've dreamed up, Baptiste managed to get under way before the crew of this "Black Pearl" returned to find their vessel had been stolen. The Hag of Tortuga also made herself known and chose to accompany "Bones" Wiley as well as Hawkins himself, cackling madly near the helm in a disconcerting manner.

Meanwhile, Captain Barbossa had just finished resupplying the cursed Black Pearl after raiding Port Royal for the last missing Aztec Medallion that would set his crew free (picking up a defiant "Elizabeth Turner" to boot), only to find that the whole lot had just sailed away aboard his own ship under a strange woman's flag! Thinking quickly, he seized the largest ship he could find, a battered red-sailed vessel apparently called Revenant, with "Turner" and his own cursed crew in tow,, just as an eerie fog began to settle in on the horizon, ethereal sails looming through the dark..."}
