Bardroy was once a member of a detachment of Royal Marines who were sent to Reign in the belligerent subjects of a small, far-flung colony. Upon arrival however, the detachment was led into a bloody ambush which claimed the lives of all in the detachment, save Bardroy. His survival is a mystery, with some claiming cowardice, while others, whisper in the shadows that it was through a pact with a devil which guaranteed his survival. Regardless the nature of his existence, his skills cannot be overlooked, although the man himself does often say he prefers to be on land than at sea.
