Flagship of the French Pacific squadron, the Pallas is a veteran ship of the Far East forces. In the emerging age of steam power she manages to keep well enough up with the fleet despite her age. In conjunction with the new steam ironclad "Normandie," The ship has put into the Mexican port of Acapulco where they plan to launch an invasion of the western portion of the country.
