The Cedid Bomba was a 22-gun 6th-rate bomb frigate (or bomb vessel) of the Ottoman State Navy. Built in 1790, its Turkish name translates to "New Bomb". Turkish "bomb frigates" (or bomba fırkateyni in Ottoman Turkish) were specialized, three-masted, square-rigged warships utilized by the Ottoman Empire in the late 18th century, primarily between 1770 and 1792.
